The KitKat update for ‘Optimus G Pro’ will be released by the end of July while it will be released by the end of August for ‘Optimus G’, according to a report.
AndroidOS, which confirmed the news, in a report said, “LG Optimus G Pro E988 has begun receiving 4.4.2 KitKat update in India.”
According to the report, LG will also release its update in other Asian countries like Indonesia.
Optimus G, which was launched along with Nexus 4, was one of the bestselling devices. It comprises of 4.7-inch display, 13MP camera, 3G, Wi-Fi and GPS fetures.
To update OTA, the user can go to Settings > About Phone> Software Update. The user can access all the KitKat features with the help of 684 MB file.
LG has recently announced KitKat update for Optimus L9 2 and G Pro Lite. The company is keen in pushing KitKat update for its devices.
